Portable generators must run outdoors, at least 20 feet from the house, with the exhaust pointed away. Sizing a Generator for a Tampa Bay Home

A well pump is similar. A standby generator on natural gas has unlimited runtime, and one on propane needs a tank sized for several days. We also set up a maintenance plan, because a generator that has not been exercised monthly and serviced yearly is the one that will not start in September.
